ABOUT
THIS
PROPERTY

Welcome to Wildflower House, a sanctuary created with your very experience in mind throughout every little detail. Nestled in the heart of the Smokies, nature and inspiration meet to create an extraordinary experience & slow living. You’ll wake up to birds chirping and sleep to the soothing rhythm of cicadas. A collected space that inspires coming back to yourself and those you love. From the wood burning fireplace to the fresh mountain air, the Japanese-style hot tub, to absolute quiet & calm.

THE SPACE

Tucked deep in the woods, yet miraculously central to any attractions you should need. If you've been craving a reset - room to breathe, to play, to feel like yourself again - this is it. You've found the place. The one you'll come back to -year after year, chapter after chapter. A true quiet retreat from the world - nestled in the heart of the Smokies, where you'll hear the creek run, feel the hot tub steam, and the stress of daily life melts away the second you step foot onto the property.

Whether you're a couple in search of connection, a family eager to explore, a group of friends looking to make memories, or you're just looking for a solo retreat for yourself, this cabin will be your personal sanctuary. To cook. Read. Soak. Write. Meditate. Laugh. Ponder. Or simply do nothing at all. This is your time.

I've lovingly designed this primitive cabin with warm minimalism and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Think timeless American and Danish design mixed together, with a modern and artsy flair that will make it feel just like home. It's cozy enough for two, but spacious enough to host four.

THE LOCATION

From the moment you step onto the property- the warmth and comfort of our home is yours to enjoy - it's completely private, so you'll have sole use of the property during your stay. The area is on a quiet, residential small mountain central to all of the local attractions, restaurants, coffee shops, and nature trails. It is safe and ideal for families with young kids, couples or a group of friends looking for a quiet, secluded getaway.

HEATING & COOLING
The central air and heating is controlled by a Nest thermostat. The upstairs bedroom is equipped with multi-speed ceiling fans.

FIREPLACE

The fireplace is to be used only with guests who have prior experience of starting a fire in a wood burning fireplace. Fire starters and firewood are provided. Fees passed on to guests if any damage is done to house/fireplace as a result of a fire made in the fireplace. We do provide the first 5 logs to build a fire complimentary to you during your stay - but then ask that you purchase more wood if you'd like to use more wood than that.

WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB
This is unlike most hot tubs you've probably experienced. If you are looking for a spot whose hot tub has roaring jets, crazy lights, and is a perfect 102 degrees when you arrive- this probably isn't the experience for you. The process of heating this tub is half of the experience. It becomes ritualistic, as you throw another log on the fire and smell the smoke from the chimney as it starts to warm, you can't help but take it all in and appreciate life just as it is. It takes patience and perseverance, but these are all skills that you hopefully came to the country to practice :) In all seriousness - we do want to set proper expectations. We will typically have the hot tub heated between 80-85 degrees when you arrive. The remaining 20-25 degrees to get the tub to temp, you'll get to experience building the fire, tending to it, and then hopping in when it's just so. The heating process can take anywhere from 2-5 hours, depending on the time of year and the current temperature of the tub when you arrive. If you'd like to have the tub fully heated for you upon check-in, please inquire - as we are happy to provide this service for you for an additional $80. We are in the mountains, running on well water that is hard, and it will not look like a normal hot tub. The water is refreshed every week and treated chemically. If you want an additional water refresh during your stay, we are happy to perform one for an additional $65.

INTERNET
High-speed! 300Mbps+ that is suitable for multiple people streaming videos, remote work, surfing the web, and answering emails. Because cellular service can be spotty in the mountains, it is recommended to join the wireless network and turn on wi-fi calling during your stay.

OUTDOOR SPACE
